We take pride in the environmental benefit provided by the landfills we design. Lined landfills are today’s technology. However, we know that with continued research and innovation, our industry will adopt a new technology to replace landfills.
Our commitment to our clients promises the best engineering practices. Thus, we strive to stay up to speed with industry standards and new technologies that help design solutions that prevent groundwater pollution, reduce landfill gas or use methane for power, and improve overall efficiency and sustainability of solid waste and power solutions.
To that end, we have developed a relationship with ArrowBio, a company we believe represents a viable alternative to landfills. ArrowBio is a unique municipal solid waste treatment process that provides for separation, processing, and treatment of solid waste, while also providing for utilization of biogas as a renewable energy resource. ArrowBio is not composting, incineration or pyrolysis. Rather it utilizes the principles of wastewater treatment for separation of inorganic waste and biodegradation of organic waste. The byproducts of the ArrowBio process are water, fertilizer, and biogas at about 75% pure methane.
